Obituary for Mary Lee Branch
Mary Branch was born February 1, 1919 at Dangerfield, Texas. She was the daughter of the late Emory and Beatrice Lewis Boyd Hill. She died September 23, 2001 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. She married Clint Word Branch, January 17, 1952 in Mangum, Oklahoma and he preceded her in death.
She was a long time resident of Altus and Jackson County. She was an active member of the New Hope Baptist Church. she served as President of the Senior Mission and Treasurer, and was Worthy Matron of the Eastern star, #135.
Survivors include her four children, Clarene Branch of Altus, Oklahoma, Theresa Johnson of Altus, Oklahoma, Laverne Sheppard of Altus, Oklahoma and Sharon B. Laws of Altus, Oklahoma; nieces and nephews including, Willie Hill Jr. Linda Curl Hill, Henry Hill, Chyall Jefferson, Curtis Hill, OD Sample, LaWanda Shelton, Pearlie Mae Randall, Tim Curry, and Kenneth Curry; 9 grandchildren; 21 greatgrandchildren; numerous greatgreatgrandchildren and a very very special granddaughter, BB "Verda: and a host of other relatives. She was preceded in death by mother, husband, 1 brother, Willie Hill Sr. 1 sister Renee Wilhite.
