Mary Reeves, age 61, of Altus, passed away Tuesday morning, September 12, 2017, at Jackson County Memorial Hospital, in Altus.
Mrs. Reeves was born in Harmon County, Oklahoma, on May 17, 1956, to Clifford and Pauline (Oller) Myers. After attending school at Ron and Arnett, Mary married Richard Edminster in 1976 and to this union, two daughters, Sheila and Melaney were born. On May 15, 2002, she married Jerry Reeves in Eureka Springs, Arkansas and they spent the next fifteen wonderful years together before her untimely death. For twenty-one years she worked as the secretary and accountant for Max McLaughlin, in Hollis, and then spent several years working at Wal-Mart. In her spare time, Mary loved sewing and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, Gene, Gerald, Darrell, Murrell and Harold and a sister Sweetie. Survivors include her husband Jerry, of the home; two children, Sheila Thomas and husband Lindy of Mangum and Melaney Edminster and fiancé John Paul Salomon of Altus; three grandchildren, Garrett, Jaylann and Blaise; three brothers, Donnie, David and Farrell; two sisters, Pattie and Edna along with many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mary Reeves will be at 2 p.m., Friday, September 15, 2017, at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Randy Overstreet officiating. Interment will follow at the Victory Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home, of Altus.
