Obituary for Mary Sue Edgeworth
Mary Sue Edgeworth, 72, of Altus, passed away Tuesday, February 1st, 2011, at Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus.
Sue was born February 2, 1938, in Altus to Othie and Eula Mae (Wolfe) Williams. She attended school in Altus and was a hard worker. She was a waitress at the Sagamar Restaurant and later a manager at the Falcon Inn Cafe for several years.
Sue married James "Jim" Edgeworth July 6, 1979, in Oklahoma City. She loved to iron and made sure her children and grandchildren could take care of themselves by learning to cook, clean, and iron their own clothes. She was a wonderful cook and loved going to the farm with her sons.
Preceded in death by her parents, her twin sister, Nelda Lou Hawthorne, and a great-granddaughter, Devyn Kerbo. Sue is survived by her loving husband Jim of the home in Altus; two sons, Robert White and wife Jeri of Willow, Oklahoma, and Ricky White and wife Sonora of Ft. Cobb, Oklahoma; one step-son, Jimmy Edgeworth of Del City, Oklahoma; thirteen grandchildren, Heather Clemens, Cody Franklin, Brandi Scepurek, Nathan White, Krystyna White, Dania Nalley, Laura Burney, Raechel White, Nel White, Ricky White, Megan White, Lucas White and Hunter White; great-grandchildren, Shelby Clemens, Kari Clemens, Hannah Clemens, Jeremiah Clemens, McKenzie Franklin, Caden Franklin, Kamryn Franklin, Skyler Belvins, Joe Blevins, Hanna, David, Lathan, Blake, Isabella, Carson Lane a host of nieces, nephews, and many friends.
The family will receive friends Thursday, February 3, 2011, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
Funeral Services for Sue Edgeworth will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 4, 2011, at Lowell-Tims Chapel with David Stewart officiating. Interment will follow at Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
