Obituary for Mattie Faucher
Mattie Faucher was born January 29, 1920 in Durant, Oklahoma. She was the youngest of six children born to Arthur and Maud Rutledge. She moved to Altus at age three, attended schools at Ozark and Altus. Graduated Altus High School in 1938, attended Altus Jr. College. She married Sam Faucher, April 30, 1942 in Hattiesburg Mississippi. Her husband retired from the Army in 1962 and they returned to Altus. She worked for J.C. Penney from 1966 to 1970 and she was a homemaker.

She is preceded in death by her parents, four sisters; Ruth Howard, Bea Watson, Jewel Sumpter and Vera Madore and one brother, Slim Rutledge.

She is survived by husband of the home, one son and daughter-in-law; John and Sherry Faucher, one daughter, Sarita Levchick, all of Altus. Three grandddughters; Julie and Scott Johnson of Hooker, Oklahoma, JoJo Levchik and Samantha Faucher both of Altus. Four nephews and three nieces; Tommy and Elena Ruthledge of Leveland, Texas, Joe and Grace Popchoke of Ralls, Texas, Don and Morene Popchole of Altus, Oklahoma. Richard and Cheryl Seeberger of Rush Springs, Oklahoma, Norma and Jim Lyons of Sumpter of Lubbock Texas; and several grand nieces and nephews, all of who she loved very much.

Funeral services is scheduled for Tuesday, October 28, 1997 at 10:00 am in the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Keith Wiginton officiating. Burial will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
