Obituary for Maudie M. Loftis
Maudie M. Loftis, age 82, longtime resident of Altus died at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital on Friday, November 20th, 1992.
Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Monday at the Lowell Tims Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Keith Wiginton, assisted by Sonny Tims. Burial will follow in the Altus Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
Born September 19th, 1910 at Stewart, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Jim and Melinda Russell. She married Leo Loftis September 28, 1929 in Altus, Oklahoma and was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include: three children, Wanda Kirkland and husband George of Altus, Oklahoma, J. L. Loftis and wife Irmgard of Lone Wolf, OK and Billy Ray Loftis of Altus, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Kay Callen and her husband Terry of Altus, OK and Pam Smith and her husband Danny of Altus, OK; great-grandchildren, Jennifer, Jaclyn and Emily; one brother-in-law, Floyd Loftis of Altus, OK; three sisters-in-law, Luvina Robinson, Loucille Weathers, and Margaret Russell, all of Lawton, OK; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Leo Loftis (1984).
