Melissa "Missy" (Otworth) Colson, age 40, a resident of Mangum, passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at Quartz Mountain Medical Center in Mangum.
Missy was born in Hackensack, New Jersey on September 2, 1974 to parents Salvador Perez, Jr. and Rosemary Helen Otworth. On May 10, 2008 Missy married Chris Colson at Lake Lugert. She attended the Church of New Beginnings in Mangum and when she was able to work she was a certified nurses assistant. Missy enjoyed playing board games with her family, singing, going to the casino, spending time with her granddaughters and she will be missed very much.
Preceded in death by her grandparents, Elmer and Lucille Otworth and George Perez; her mother Rosemary Helen Perez; Missy is survived by her grandmother, Anna Perez of New Jersey; her father, Salvador Perez Jr. and his wife Connie of Nevada; her husband Chris Colson of the home; her father and mother-in-law, Phil and Patsy Colson of Mangum; one son, Timothy James McGuire of Mangum; two daughters, Rosemary Denise Otworth and her husband Jose Gamino of Mangum; Christine Gayle McGuire of Mangum; one brother, Salvador Perez, III of New Jersey; two sisters, Julie Coley of Mangum; Joanne Ryerson and her husband Robert of Hobart; two granddaughters, Naomi Rose Gamino and Josie Lynn Gamino both of Mangum; four nephews, Erick, Mathew, Jr., and Dylan; five nieces, Pricilla, Michelle, Samantha, Hailey, and Ashton; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, September 27, 2014 at the Greer Funeral Home Chapel in Mangum. Cremation services will follow under the direction of Greer Funeral Home, Mangum.
