Obituary for Melvin Leroy Baehler
Melvin Leroy Baehler, age 64, of Altus, passed away December 12, 2002 at Saint Anthony's Hospital in Oklahoma City. Services, under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home of Altus, are set for 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 14, 2002 at the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Jim Jones will officiate.

Melvin was born September 19, 1938 at Corona, California to parents Leroy Baehler and and Sybil Mead Baehler. He grew up in Hemet, California, attending school and graduating with a degree from Chaffey College in 1959. In the early 1960's, Melvin joined the Air Force Reserves. He was quickly called to active duty and served multiple tours in Southeast Asia. During his service in Thailand, Melvyn met and married Rung. Together they enjoyed over 34 years of marriage. After leaving the military, Melvin spent 35 years working for the McDonnell Douglas and Boeing Companies as a Technical Publications Specialist. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Rung of the home; parents, Leroy and Sybil Baehler of Hemet, California. He was preceded in death by his sister Katherine.
