Obituary for Michael David McKinney
Funeral service for Michael David McKinney, 60, Altus, Oklahoma will be at Lowell Tims Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, July 13, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Mark Morey officiating.

Burial will be at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.

Michael David McKinney was born to Charles Todd and Rosemary (Trahan) McKinney in New Orleans, Louisiana on November 28, 1954. He has lived in Altus all of his life and graduated High School in 1974 and was the Team Manager for the 1974 State Champion Track Team. He has been delivering newspapers for the Altus Times since High School and working the chains for the home football games also. He worked for the City of Altus in the Sanitation Department for many years until he was injured and retired. Mike attended Trinity Baptist Church and enjoyed socializing with friends and family, a huge fan of the Oklahoma Sooners and the New Orleans Saints. To describe Mike is to say he was a good neighbor with a big heart.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters, Sherron Fuqua and Pamela McKinney; an uncle, Gene McGee; a nephew, Ben Sirmons; and a special friend, Starla Kochler.

Survivors include a sister, Patricia Foster-Keeth and husband William Keeth of Louisiana; a brother, Roy Fuqua of Altus; an aunt, Mary McGee; 4 nieces, Lindsie Sirmons of Altus, Amanda Foster of Louisiana, Crystal and husband Jeff Zillow of Kansas, and Sarah Keeth; 3 nephews, Joel McPheeters and fiance Brittany Hunt of Texas, Jacoby Foster and wife Ashley of Milburn, OK and Josh Price of Altus and many other family members and friends.
