Michael Edward Savage, age 60, of Altus, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2016, at his residence, in Altus.
Michael was born in Edwards, California on January 5, 1956, to Edward Earl and Dorthy Irene (Cross) Savage. A 1974 graduate of Zweibrucken American High School, Germany, Michael proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, retiring at Altus Air Force Base in 1996, after twenty years of honorable service, with a portion of his enlistment supporting Operation Desert Storm. Michael soon began working for Civil Service at Altus Air Force Base where he was currently employed. Michael was a kind hearted and loving man who loved his family and friends and will be dearly missed.
Survivors include his parents, Eddie and Irene Savage; one brother, Doug Savage and wife Dawn; two sisters, Marie Folds and husband Randy and Darla Obrian and husband Chip; a beloved friend, Becky Streeter; a host of nephews, nieces, great nephews and nieces as well as a number of other family members and friends.
Graveside services for Michael Edward Savage will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, September 24, 2016, at Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home, of Altus.
