Obituary for Mike Angel Rodriguez
Mike Angel Rodriguez, age 68, long-time resident of Altus, passed away on April 4, 2022 at the Integris Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home & Crematory of Altus, OK.
Mike was born on January 19, 1954 in Elsa, Texas to his parents, Adan and Victoria (Almaguer) Rodriguez. He attended school and grew up in Altus, Oklahoma. Mike married the love of his life, Margarita Alcorta on November 23, 1971 in Vernon, Texas. They were blessed to have spent over 50 years of their lives together.
Mike believed in hard work and providing for his family, whom he loved devotedly. He liked working with his hands and spent many years employed as a mechanic. With those same hands, he came home after work each day and tenderly embraced his family. He retired from his work career with the City of Altus, after 17 years of dedicated service.
Mike was generally quiet and relaxed but he was also very protective of his loved ones. While he may not have said much, he expressed his love by doing the things expected of a man. He was a person of strong Catholic faith, but had no problem " telling it like it was." Mike and Maggie devoted their lives to raising their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Outside of spending time with his family, Mike enjoyed fishing, working out in the yard, and helping around the house. He leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, and wisdom to be treasured by all. He will forever be remembered in the hearts of those who knew him.

Rodriguez Jr., of Enid, OK; and Moses Rodriguez and his wife, Amanda, of Altus, OK; his daughters: Tammy Rodriguez; Terry Rodriguez Seniceros and her husband, Lupio; and Samantha Ybarra; his brother: Ruben Rodriguez (Audelia) of Grand Prairie, TX; 8 sisters: Eva Rodriguez Flores of Tipton, OK; Maria Elena Landa (Felipe) of Altus; Estella Rodriguez Gloria of Altus; Rosa Rodriguez Lopez of Altus; Mary Bautista (Guadalupe Rudy) of Muskogee, OK; Rebecca Lucca (David) of Sunrise, FL; Emma Flores of San Antonio, TX; and Yolanda Rodriguez of Altus: 14 grandchildren: Samantha Ybarra, Kristen Pekah, Koby Rodriguez, Caileigh Rodriguez, Miquel Rodriguez III, Emily Rodriguez, Marcus Enriquez, Moses Rodriguez, Moses Rodriguez Jr., Vivian Rodriguez, Victoria Rodriguez, Rokie Rodriguez, Noah Rodriguez and Ava Rodriguez; 10 great-grandchildren, a close family friend, Christina Smith; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, co-workers and friends.
