Mike Culpepper, 66, Altus, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at his home
Mike was born on October 24, 1959, in Denver, Colorado to James Floyd Culpepper and Catherine Lorene Bradshaw. He grew up in the Aurora, Colorado area and later graduated from Littleton High School. After high school he followed his brother Jim to Altus, Ok where he built his life. He started with M & C Construction in 1980 and eventually bought the business. He worked as a general contractor and provided services to several people and businesses before he retired in 2021. Mike married Pauline Davis in Eureka Springs, Arkansas on October 16, 2009. He enjoyed working on cars, a nice yard that he perfected, riding his Harley and spending time with family. Mike's greatest joy in life was seeing his kids happy. Those are memories that will last a lifetime.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jim.
Survivors include his wife, Pauline, of the home; his children, Lynda Culpepper, Michael Culpepper and wife, Kadijah, Kyla Vernon and husband, Rory, Teresa Barham and husband, Kaeden, Trevor Whiteside, and Jasper Whiteside and wife, Bekah; his grandchildren, Jazlyn Culpepper, Emmalyn Brinson, Egilsina Davis, Dayson Kemper, Quinley Vernon, Marley Hale, Raegen, Makynlee, and Silas Barham, Sofia Whiteside, Aubrey and Thora Whiteside, and one on the way; two sisters, Lori Lynn Culpepper and John, and Catherine Vineis and husband, Dave; and many other family
The Culpepper family will host a memorial reception from 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home. Arrangements and cremation are under the care of the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home and Crematory.
