Obituary for Mildred L. Cook
Mildred Lenora Cook, age 92, of Mangum, passed away at Grace Living center in Mangum, Oklahoma on December 14, 2019.
Mildred was born in Paden, Oklahoma on October 25, 1927 to Floyd and Goldie (Pendleton) Moore. On July 12, 1946, she married Garrett S. Cook, Sr., in Bakersfield, California where they spent the next several years farming. They moved to Duke in 1970 for a short time before settling in Mangum. Mildred was dedicated to her family. She was a hard worker and family was everything to her.
Mildred is preceded in death by her parents; Husband, Garrett S. Cook, Sr.; Grandchildren, Tina Wick and Robert Kendrick; and all her brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her sons, Garrett S. Cook, Jr. and wife Lynette of Newport News, Virginia, Timothy A. Cook and wife Jarita of Mangum, Oklahoma, Mark A. Cook and wife Pam of Elk City, Oklahoma; Daughter, Mildred D. Higginbotham and husband Robert of Conroe, Texas; Ten grandchildren, Tammy, Morgan, Kimberly, Christa, Garrett, Rebel, Seth, Rachelle, Charlotte, and Jill; Several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at Roselawn Cemetery in Mangum, Oklahoma.
