Obituary for Mildred L. Jackson
Mildred L. Jackson, age 88, of Altus, Oklahoma, was born May 7, 1908 at Lake Geneva, WI, the daughter of the late William C. and Mathilda (Eikoff) Schlaak. She came to Altus in 1992 from Lake Worth, Florida. Mrs. Jackson passed away Saturday, December 7th, 1996, in the Jackson County Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Funeral Services will be at 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 10, 1996, in the Southside Baptist Church with Rev. C.W. Parker officiating. Burial will be in Florida, with services under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
On March 26, 1937, she and Harry B. Jackson were united in marriage in Canton, Ohio. He preceded her in death in February of 1988. Mrs. Jackson was employed as a stenographer/bookkeeper for many years. She was a member of the Highland Heights United Methodist Church, Altus, Oklahoma.
Survivors include: one son, John R. Jackson and wife Patricia of Altus, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Rebecca Marie Jackson, Mildred Kathleen Jackson and Mary Eileen Jackson; cousin: Miss Florence E. Heick of Madison, WI.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Harry B. Jackson, February of 1988.
