Obituary for Milton J. Needham
Mr. Milton J. Needham, age 67, retired Altus businessman. died Saturday at the Midwest City Memorial Hospital where he had remained in the intensive coronary unit for four days.
Rosary has been set for 7:30 P.M. Monday evening at Lowell Memorial Chapel with Funeral Mass on Tuesday morning at 10:00 A.M. at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church, officiated by Father Leavin, Father Kolb and Father Moore. Interment will be in the Restlawn Cewmetery under the direction of Lowell Funeral Home.
Born October 22, 1915 in Moline, Illinois, he was married at Morrison, IL on Decembeer 29, 1936 to the former Peggy Lauber who survives of the home. He was a long time businessman of Altus having owned and operated Altus Laundry and Dry Cleaners until failing health required that he sell and retire in 1970. He was a member of Local Council 4889, Knights of Columbus, served as Past Faithful Navigator, 4th degree as well as Past Grand Knight of the local Council. He served for a number of years as Sec/Treasurer of the Prince of Peace Church Board, was a Veteran of World War II, member of the Elks Lodge and American Legion Post #44 of Altus.
Additional survivors include: one son, Ronald Needham, of Denver, NC; one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Nancy) Tice of Pantego, TX; one brother, Frances R. Needham of Baxter, Iowa; five grandchildren.
The family suggests for those desiring to contribute memorials, that they be made to the Prince of Peace Catholic Church.
