Obituary for Mitchell Ward Hill
Mr. Mitchell Ward Hill, age 87, long time resident of Eldorado, died Friday morning at the Chillicothe, Texas Hospital.
Funeral services have been set for 3:00 P.M., Sunday at the Eldorado First Baptist Church, officiated by the Reverend Don Ladner. Burial will be in Eldorado Cemetery under direction of Lowell Funeral Home.
Born September 3rd, 1892 at Oxford, MS, he was married at Levi, Texas on April 10, 1910 to the late Ella Blanche Carl who died in 1976. They came to the Eldorado area in 1923 where he was a farmer. He was a member of the Eldorado First Baptist Church.
Survivors include: seven sons, Lonnie and Clyde Hill of Eldorado, Robert of Torrance, CA, Horace of Crescent City, CA, Earl of Grants Pass, OR, D. A. of Clarksville, TN, and Mitchell Edward of Ft. Worth, TX; five daughters, Gladys Nolan of Oroville, CA, Hazel Hill of Irving, TX, Louise Hooker of Eldorado, Anita Atchley of Midland, TX and Juanita Jones of Ruidoso, NM; one sister, Mrs. Corine Henegar of Plainview, TX; 40 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren.
