Obituary for Modenia E. Ellis
Graveside funeral service for Modenia Hutchinson Ellis are scheduled for 10:00am Tuesday at the Altus City Cemetery. Rev. Bill Davis and Rev. Carl McCoy will officiate. Mrs Ellis passed away August 14, in Norman.

Modenia Hutchinson Ellis was born in Coke County, Texas September 4, 1907, to John Pierce and Alice (Fulcher) Hutchinson. Modenia was a resident of Jackson County for 90 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bennie, in 1972, a daughter, Wanda, and a son, Ernest. Also preceding her in death were 3 brothers and 4 sisters.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Bennie Dean and Barbara Ellis of Norman and 4 grandsons, Bennie Ellis, Jr. and wife, Judy, of Norman; Kevin and wife, Martha, of Oklahoma City; Bradley Ellis and wife Ruth of Salltio, Mexico; Steve Klein and wife, Tracey of Midland, Texas; and 6 great-grandchildren.

Lowell-Tims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
