Obituary for Monte B. Evans
Monte B. Evans Monte B. Evans, age 89 of Altus, Oklahoma passed away Friday December 15, 2000 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. She was born June 6th, 1911 in Marlow, Oklahoma to William Thomas Price and Ora {Rowland} Price. On July 6, 1946 in Lawton, Oklahoma Monte and Hugo Evans were united in marriage. He preceded her in death October 20, 2000. She had lived in Altus since May of 1972 moving here from Lawton, Oklahoma. Monte worked as a secretary in Civil Service at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City and Ft. Sill Army Post in Lawton, Oklahoma until she retired. After she retired she enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of the Thomas Street Church of Christ. She is survived by one daughter, Monte Waynel Ludwig and her husband James of Tulsa, Oklahoma, two grandchildren, Wayne Rowland Evans of Ft. Sill, Oklahoma , Julita Diane Ludwig of Atlus, Oklahoma; one niece Jannette Davison of Grandfield, Oklahoma host of other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Hugo Evans, one infant daughter, three sisters and three brothers. Graveside services are scheduled for Friday, December 22, 2000 at 11:00 am at the Altus City Cemetery with Sonny Tims officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
