Obituary for Monte Carroll Garren
Monte Carroll Garren, 80, lifelong resident of Eldorado, Oklahoma passed away June 25, 2021 at Comanche County Hospital after a brief illness.
Monte was born October 4, 1940, in Olustee, Oklahoma to M.A. and Lavesta (Johnson) Garren. He was raised and educated in Eldorado and graduated from Eldorado High School. After graduation Monte enlisted in the United States Army. Upon his graduation from basic training and AIT Monte was stationed in Korea for most of his military career. Monte returned home to Eldorado to help his father, M.A. with the day-to-day operations of the family farm.
He was a lifelong member of the Nazarene Church and was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ.
On October 22, 2004, in Memphis, Texas Monte was united in marriage to Mary Cecille Brownlow. Monte was blessed with six stepchildren, and fourteen grandchildren which he loved dearly. Being a farmer was not a occupation to Monte but what he lived for, he had to work several jobs to help pay the bills but it was only to help keep him farming and ranching.
He was preceded in death by his parents, M.A and Lavesta Garren, and his beloved wife Mary Cecille Garrren.
Left to honor Monte's memory are his sister Sheri Lea Millar and husband Bill; stepchildren, Owen Richards, Damon Richards, Anthony Richards, Michelle Cardoza, Melissa Brandon, Stephanie Cearly, fourteen grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
