Obituary for Morris E. Giles
Morris E. "Bud" Giles, age 80, of Altus, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, April 17th, 1998 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. He was born January 2nd, 1918 at Plainview, TX to the late
Ira Monroe and Mary Elizabeth (Woolsey) Giles. Bud had been a resident of Altus since 1973. He was retired from the United States Air Force, and Civil Service. On November 13, 1980, Bud and Fern Neely were united in marriage in Vernon, TX. He was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Altus, Oklahoma .
Survivors include: his wife, Fern of the home in Altus; two children, Juanita Lannette Russell and her husband Bobby of Walnut, MS; three step-children, Betty Lou Reed and her husband Ray of Martha, OK, Joy Stauffer of Oklahoma City, OK, Jerry Cox and his wife Jackie of Wichita Falls, TX; two sisters, Irene Paige and Lucy Lindvay, both of Amarillo, TX; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a son Michael Giles; seven brothers and sisters.
Funeral Services are scheduled for Saturday, April 18th, 1998 at 11:00 a.m. in the Lowell Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Carl McCoy officiating. Burial will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
