Mr. Morris William Alexander, age 47, of 1117 N. Hudson, Altus, OK died May 6, 1968 at the Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK.
Mr. Alexander was born September 26, 1921 in Boyd, TX. He served in the military in World War II and also received the Purple Heart Medal. He graduated from Duke High School in 1942.
He is survived by: one son, Mark Alexander; one daughter, Mitzi Alexander; seven sisters, Gertrude Lesesett, Pearl Bonds, Lora Roberson and Jo Hanna, all of Duke, OK, Annie Lesesett of Altus, OK, Mae Lynn Moreau of Olustee and Edith Thompson of Mangum, OK; three brothers, Earl Alexander of Duke, OK, Howard Alexander of Ft. Worth, TX and Bobby Alexander of Louisiana.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, May 9, 1968 at the Duke Baptist Church and were conducted by Rev. Cresett Smalts, Rev. Jess Maslin and Rev. Elbert Shumaker.
