Nellie Jewell Harris age 79, of San Deigo, California died in San Diego December 15, 1982.
Nellie was born August 1, 1903 in Greenville, Texas to Thomas Martin and Jennie Agnes (Sellars) Dobbs. She married Virgil Harris December 21. sixty three years ago. Nellie was a member of Elm and Hudson Church of Christ, Gold Star Mother and American Auxiliary. She had moved to Oklahoma as a child.
Funeral services for Nellie J. Harris are scheduled for Thursday, December 30, 1982 at 10:00 am in the Elm and Hudson Church of Christ, Altus, officiated by Bill Osborne. Burial will follow in the Altus Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
Nellie is survived by her husband Virgil of the home in San Diego, California; daughter June Lindsey, San Deigo, California; grandsons Bill, Ar. Norman McGee, San Diego; Dora Flinn, Texas; Orpha Reed, Modesto, California; Ethel Braxton, Hereford, Texas; Floyd Dobbs, Gall, California; Emmett Dobbs, Yuba City, California; Wiley Dobbs, Stockton, California. Nellie was preceded in death by one son, Billie in World War II.
