O. A. Cates age 59, of St. Petersburg, Florida, died August 17, 1967 at the V. A. Hospital in St. Petersburg. He was born July 8. 1908 in Mesquite, Texas. He served in World War Ii and was a member of the American Legion.
Funeral services for O. A Cates are scheduled for 2:00pm Thursday August 22, 1967 in Tims Chapel, Altus, officiated by Chaplain Cockburn. Burial will follow in the Blair Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
O. A. Cates is survived by four brothers, R. W. Cates, Dallas, Texas; O. F. Cates, Amarillo, Texas; P. L. Cates Houston, Texas; O. R. Cates, Houston, Texas; three sisters, Mrs. R. I. stayton, Blair, Oklahoma; Mrs. Austin Moody, Olustee, Oklahoma; Mrs. Ayleen Lorell, Houston; several nieces and nephews. He is the nephew of Mr and Mrs. G. C. Cates and Mrs. Mattie Ramsey all of Blair, Oklahoma.
