Obituary for Ogle Oletta Hinton

Ogle Oletta (Brown) Hinton, age 88, formerly of Altus, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2013, at Hearthstone Health Center in Round Rock, Texas.
Oletta was born June 23, 1924 near Manitou, Oklahoma to George Raymond and Jessie Suesetta (Young) Brown. She graduated from Ozark School and attended Oklahoma Agricultural and Mechanical College, now known as Oklahoma State University, and earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in 1947.
Following college, Oletta married Jubil J. Hinton on July 20, 1947. The couple farmed in and around the Warren area while Oletta taught elementary school at Warren, Oklahoma. In 1960, Oletta and Jubil decided to move to Altus. While there she devoted herself full time to her family. However, Oletta did find time to enjoy a number of hobbies such as gardening, cooking, crocheting, sewing, and reading.
Preceded in death by her parents, George R. and Jessie S. Brown of Altus, and her husband, Jubil J. Hinton, also of Altus. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Margaret Hinton of Taylor, Texas, one sister, Arnola Warren of San Antonio, Texas, two grandchildren, Tammy and husband Mike Wilson of Chickasha, Oklahoma, and Jason Bouchard of Houston, Texas. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Graveside services for Oletta Hinton are set for 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 17, 2013, at Victory Cemetery, with Rev. Erin Martinez officiating. Services are under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home of Altus.
The family will greet friends and relatives at Lowell Tims Funeral Home on Thursday, May 16, 2013, from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
