Olga Ernestina Perez age 80, went to be with her Lord and Savior May 1, 2018 in Alice Texas. She was born in Robstown, Texas on November 11, 1937 to Jose and Guadalupe Serna.
Olga attended school in Robstown Texas. For many years she worked as a migrant worker. As a younger adult her and her father entered many dancing contests and won many dancing events. Olga then married Saturnino Perez, in this union they had many children. She became a loving mother and loved her kids dearly. In later years she attended management education and later became housekeeping manager for a big chain hotel leading to her retirement. She loved knitting, fishing, dancing and watching her Spanish Soap Operas. Olga's favorite movies were Dirty Dancing, Pretty Women, Ghost, Dance with Me and Pure Country. Olga loved to listen to all types of music especially Patsy Cline.
She is preceded in death by her husband Saturnino Perez Sr., parents, Jose and Guadalupe Serna, three sisters, Maria Cruz, Teresa Serna, and Elva Serna, three brothers, Guadalupe Ramirez, Jose Y. Serna, Rudy Serna, three grandchildren, Juan Alberto Perez, Jr., Sandra Perez and Priscilla Ann Soto.
Olga is survived by five daughters, Norma Espinosa (Guadalupe) of Orange Grove, Texas, Sylvia Soto (Alfredo) of Orange Grove, Texas, Dora Quintero (Simon) of Big Wells, Texas; Grace Casillas (Eduardo) of Big Wells, Texas, Zeniada Quintero (Emilio) of Big Wells, Texas. Seven sons Juan Alberto Perez (Maria) of Franklin Park Illinois, Lorenzo Perez of Austin Texas, Victor Perez (Rachel) of Big Wells, Texas, Freddy Perez (Esther) of Altus, Oklahoma, Ruben Perez (Irene) of Lubbock, Texas, Saturnino Perez, Jr. (Francisca) of Big Wells, Texas, Juan Manuel Perez (Mary Jane) of Big Wells, Texas, three sisters, Juana Sanchez, Diana Ventura, Oralia Alvear, two brothers, Eleazar Hernandez, and Andrew Serna, 67 grandchildren, 102 great grandchildren, 22 great- great grandchildren. Olga was also loved by her nieces and nephews and many friends.
The family will greet friends at visitation from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home in Altus.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Friday, May 11, 2018 at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel in Altus with Pastor Lloyd Lopez and Pastor Joe Tobar officiating. Interment will follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home and Crematory, Altus, Oklahoma.
