Oliver Akers was born November 21, 1891 to Floyd and Rebecca (Spurlock) Akers in Kentucky. He died March 26, 1964 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Oliver moved to this area in 1907 and Married Hattie Elmer Guffin in 1928. He is survived by his wife of the home in Olustee, one Jon Jack Akers, Olustee, Oklahoma, Three sisters, Mrs Octavia Thogerson, Olustee, Oklahoma, Mrs. Elzie Kennes, Sayre, Oklahoma, and Mrs Ola Hale o Phoenix, Arizona.

Services for Oliver Akers are scheduled for Sunday, 2:00 p.m. at the Olustee Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Sandere and Bill Osborne officiating. Interment will follow at the Olustee Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
