Obituary for Oliver Perry McKee
Oliver Perry (Buddy) McKee was born April 15, 1933 in Altus, Oklahoma. He was the son of the late Oliver Perry and Gladys (Sheehan) McKee, Sr. He passed away Friday, February 20, 2004 in Altus, Oklahoma.
Buddy married Wanda Lou Roudebush on April 10, 1955 in Humphreys, Oklahoma at the Humphreys Baptist Church. Buddy worked at Shamburger Lumber, Antrim Lumber, and Marks Lumber Yard for 37 years. He also owned and operated his fence charger repair shop for many years. He delivered Meals On Wheels and was a longtime member and Deacon at the Thomas Street Church of Christ. He also served on the Bus ministry for several years. His family and friends were the most important factors in his life.
Survivors include Buddy's wife, Wanda Lou McKee of the home in Altus; two daughters, Cheryl Jameson and husband Robert of Altus and Janet Cora and husband Steve of San Antonio, Texas; three grandchildren, Christopher Deal of Alabama, Brandi Melody Matthews of Elizabethtown, Kentucky and Kellie Cora of San Antonio, Texas; two great-grandchildren, Seth Wiggins of Kentucky and Taylor Deal of Alabama. He is also survived by three nieces and six nephews, other relatives and a special family friend, Earlenne Duke of warren, Oklahoma.
Services for Buddy McKee are scheduled for 2 p.m., Tuesday, Feb 24, 2004 at the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home with Hans Oehlert and Bill Osborne officiating.
