Obituary for Opal Elizabeth Eskridge
Opal Elizabeth Eskridge, age 88, former resident of Jackson County, died at the Heritage Place Nursing Home in Mesquite, Texas, on Wednesday. Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Friday, at the Martha Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.

She was born September 7th, 1904 in Jackson County, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Bertha and N.B. "Pole" Strother. She was a retired bookkeeper and had been living in Mesquite since 1980 and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mesquite.

Survivors include: two children, James E. Mitchell of Mesquite, TX and Dean S. Mitchell, of Carlsbad, CA; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; her first husband, Dillard S. Mitchell (1935); her second husband, V. H. Eskridge (1952).
