Obituary for Orin Miller Bouland
Orin Miller Bouland, age 90, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2002 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Funeral Services will be scheduled in Paducah, Kentucky with local arrangements by Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
She was born February 18, 1912 in Paducah to Martin Van Buren and Lee Otie (Edwards) Miller. She was a teacher in McCrackon County, Kentucky for 43 years. Orin married Frank Robinson Snell and he preceded her in death. She later married James Asa Bouland. He also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Bouland was a life-long resident of Paducah, Kentucky. She was a member of the Oakland Cumberland Presbyterian Church and of the Retired Teachers Association, and of the McCracken County Homemakers Club where she was named Homemaker of the Year. Orin had many talents but particularly enjoyed gardening her prized roses. She adored her family and loved making many crafts for them including quilts and crocheting afghans.
Mrs. Bouland was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; and eleven brothers and sisters.
She is survived by one son, Michael Rodney Snell of Altus, Oklahoma and a daughter-in-law, Sandra Snell of Altus, Oklahoma; one brother, Martin Miller opf Paducah, Kentucky; three sisters, Vega Woods and Alma Miles, both of Paducah, Kentucky and Joette Mitchell of Memphis, Tennessee; one grandson, Lee Kuper and her husband Paul of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and one great-grandchild, Requel Kuper of Oklahoma City. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
