O.E. Adkins was born January 10, 1910 at Durant, Oklahoma. He died December 20, 1991 at his home in Altus. He married Sue Duck December 30, 1930 at Durant, Oklahoma. O.E. was a long time farmer and rancher in Jackson County. He and his wife lived in the same home north of Altus for 60 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and a member of Masonic Lodge #62 since 1957.

Services are scheduled for 2 pm Sunday December 22, 1991 at the Lowell-Tims Chapel with Rev. Melvin Moody and Rev. Keith officiating. Interment will be i the Altus Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home. A memorial fund has been set up in O.E.'s name at the First Baptist Church.

O.E. Adkins is survived by his wife Sue Adkins of Altus, Oklahoma; son, Max Adkins and wife Yvonne of Dallas, Texas; brothers Ernest Adkins of Hollis, Oklahoma; grant Adkins of Wichita Falls, Texas.

Mr. Adkins was preceded in death by his mother and father, sister, Selma McKinley; brother, Lloyd Adkins; brother, Bill Adkins.
