Obituary for Patricia "Pat" Marie Miller
Patricia Marie (Schnorrenberg) Miller, 81, a longtime resident of the Friendship community, passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2009, at her home on the farm where she lived most of her life with her husband of 64 years, Courtney Miller, where they raised their family. Pat was born in Friendship, Oklahoma, to Hubert and Clara (Holdridge) Schnorrenberg on September 15, 1928. She was the youngest of seven children. She attended Friendship Schools until she married Courtney on July 7, 1945, in Altus, OK.
After their marriage, Pat helped Courtney on the farm. They worked along side one another pulling cotton and milking cows. Pat enjoyed working in the home, sewing, reading, watching her favorite shows and especially, cooking. Pat was a wonderful cook. She always made sure any visitor had plenty to eat and a frosty Coke when they came by the house. She loved the Friendship community and thoroughly enjoyed all of her friends from the area. Everyone who knew Pat enjoyed her wit and ability "to tell it like it is." Pat was one of Jehovah"s Witnesses and attended the Kingdom Hall in Altus.
Pat"s pride and joy was her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She leaves behind her loving family, her husband, Courtney, her children, Judy Lowery and husband, Sam, of Lubbock, Texas; Sonny Miller and his wife, Lorenda, of Headrick; Marilee Robbins and husband, Larry of Altus; Tim Miller and his wife, Jerri Lynn of Headrick; her nine grandchildren, Kristy Booker and her husband, Kyle, Krisenda Lowery, Kortne Winkelman and her husband, Bobby, all of Lubbock, Texas; Laiken Miller and his wife, Jackie, of Blair; Sommer Robbins and her husband, Chad Levings, Ryan Robbins and his wife, Kortni; Lacy Miller; Boone Miller and his wife, Lori, all of Altus; and Blaze Miller, of Headrick. Pat had three beloved great-children and one on the way, Kaleigh Smith, of Stillwater; Kodee Booker, of Lubbock, Texas; Silver Bentley, of Altus and Baby Robbins, soon to be of Altus. She is survived by one sister, Jean Wiginton, of Arlington, Texas, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her two brothers, Hubert (Buck) Schnorrenberg and Lawton Schnorrenberg, three sisters, Blanche Piercy, Loyce (Sis) Wiginton and Virginia Wiginton.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 8, 2009, at Lowell-Tims Chapel in Altus with Virgil Lowery officiating. Interment will follow at Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home
