Patsy Ruth Terrell Beeler, age 89, of Altus, formerly of Quanah, Texas, passed away Wednesday afternoon, August 9, 2017, at Plantation Village Nursing Center, in Altus.
Mrs. Beeler was born in Spade, Texas on July 31, 1928, to Orville and Viola (Faulkenberry) Steffey. Growing up and graduating from Littlefield, Texas High School, Patsy married Thomas Dorset (T.D.) Terrell on December 23, 1947, and they spent the next forty-nine wonderful years together before his death on December 12, 1996. In 2001, Patsy married J.W. Beeler and he preceded her in death on May 22, 2015. After she and T.D. were married, Patsy completed nursing school and spent many years serving as a licensed practical nurse, with compassion and love. In the later part of 2015, Patsy suffered a debilitating stroke and her health continued to decline until her death. A longtime member of the Quanah Church of Christ, Patsy was known for always helping others.
Preceded in death by her parents and two husbands, Patsy is survived by one niece, Rebecca (Diltz) Kastner and husband Curtis of Manhattan, Kansas; two nephews, Jack Morrison Diltz (and wife, the late Janet Diltz) of Altus and James David Terrell and wife Terri of Edmond, Oklahoma; her sister-in-law, Evah Jo Diltz of Altus and many other great nieces and great nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Graveside funeral services for Patsy Ruth Terrell Beeler will be at 1 p.m., Friday, August 11, 2017, at the Quanah Memorial Park Cemetery, in Quanah, Texas under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home, of Altus.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be made in memory of Patsy Terrell Beeler, to the Quanah Church of Christ P.O. Box 684 Quanah, TX 79252
