Paula Kay Landers, age 69, of Granite, passed away late Saturday, May 31, 2014, at Hospice of Wichita Falls, in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Mrs. Landers was born in Borger, Texas on March 20, 1945, to Joseph Eldridge and Vera Agnes (Williamson) Caskey. Growing up and attending school in Borger, she married the love of her life and high school sweetheart, Bobby Kent Landers on December 16, 1960. He preceded her in death on September 2, 2012, after fifty-one wonderful years of marriage. Bobby began working in the oil fields at age seventeen and served as a roustabout and production worker, later owing his own business, which brought them to Granite in 1980. After the children were raised and away from home, Paula worked for Granite Drug for over ten years. In her spare time, Paula enjoyed fishing, bowling, being with and loving her family and serving and loving her Lord, Jesus Christ.
Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bobby, two brothers, Billy Wayne Caskey and Joseph Eldridge Caskey, Jr., she is survived by her two children, Lesa McCown and husband Sidney of Wichita Falls, Texas and Kevin Landers and wife Melinda of Boydville; six grandchildren, Angela Berry and husband Casey of Granite, Britney Martinez of Granite, Cylee Landers and wife Ashley of Granite, Amanda Miedel and husband Jack Deliz of Granite, Christina Reams and husband Michael of Amarillo, Texas and Jason McCown and wife Tricia of Borger, Texas; ten great grandchildren, Jace, Quade, Cali, Hayden, Braylen, Rayden, Lander, Dara, Emery and Serenity; one sister, Julie McMahan and husband James of Kingwood, Texas; three sisters-in-law, Phyllis Busby and husband Dale of Fritch, Texas, Veda Landers of Borger, Texas, Carol Caskey of Altus and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Paula Landers will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, June 5, 2014, at the Granite First Baptist Church with Rev. David Hogg officiating. Interment will follow at the Granite Rock Cemetery under the direction of Greer Funeral Home of Granite.
The family will greet friends at Greer Funeral Home in Granite on Wednesday, June 4, 2014, from 5 until 6 p.m.
