Obituary for Paula Kay Ledbetter
Paula Kay Ledbetter, 64, a longtime resident of Eldorado, Oklahoma, passed away at her home on April 9, 2011.
Paula was born on December 21, 1946, in Altus, Oklahoma, to George and Lois (Gossett) Smith. Her love for God was evident and grew stronger each day. She was a devoted person to her job at the Panther Caf" for twenty-three years until her health no longer allowed her to work. She was a member of the Corinth Baptist Church.
Paula is survived by her two sons, Billy Ray Tinney and David Ledbetter and wife Tabitha, all of Eldorado; one brother, Bill Smith and wife Pam of Blue Springs, Missouri; one sister, Ann Tinney of Eldorado; four grandchildren, Casey Tinney of Colgate, Oklahoma; Peyton Tinney of Whiteright, Texas; Tyson and Kaden Ledbetter, both of Eldorado; one aunt, Peggy Gossett of Quanah, Texas; three nieces, Joy Whitlock and husband Mark of Altus, Tina Sparkman of Quanah, and Savannah Smith of Blue Springs, Missouri; five nephews, Danny Campsey of Detroit, Texas, Billy George Smith of Altus, Bobbie Smith of Alliance, Nebraska, Michael Tinney and Jimmy Tinney, both of Eldorado. She is also survived by eight great-nieces and seven great-nephews.
Paula was preceded in death by her parents, George and Lois Smith; one son, Jimmy Paul Tinney; one sister, Eva Brewer; one uncle, Clinton Gossett, and great-niece, Kassie May Sparkman. Paula will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family will greet friends on Monday, April 11, 2011, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Lowell-Tims Chapel in Eldorado.
Funeral Services for Paula Ledbetter will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, at the Corinth Baptist Church with Reverend Richard Manning officiating. Interment will follow at the Eldorado Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
