Obituary for Presley Glenn 'Pete" Reynolds
Presley "Pete" Reynolds, age 77, of Blair, passed away at his home northeast of Altus on Saturday evening, July 30, 2005.

Pete was born in Bowlegs, Oklahoma on April 9, 1928 to Charley Thomas and Nora Lee (Hines) Reynolds. He married Lois Wilson in Quanah, Texas on September 25, 1971.

Pete faithfully served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War in the 2nd Battalion of the 22nd Regimental Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Company H, in Schweinfurt, Germany and on the Chezch Border. During this time, Pete received the Army Occupation Medal of Germany. He stayed in close contact with several Army friends, enjoying frequent reunions.

Presley Glenn (Pete) was the fourth of eight children in a family who moved to Jackson in 1928 shortly after his birth. Pete started school at Eugene Field and also attended Porter High School. He farmed and ranched in Jackson County and around Blair all of his adult life, owing a gas station, Reynolds Rubber and Equipment, and Reynolds Country Corner. He also did custom harvesting, both cotton and hay, all over Texas and Southwest Oklahoma.

Pete served for many years on the Blair and Humphrey Co-Op Boards and other agriculture related boards. He was a Thirty-second Degree Mason, a member of the Scottish Rite, a Shriner and a member of the American Legion.

Pete loved to have fun, laugh, joke, talk, and tell stories to anyone who would listen. He loved holidays with family and friends, especially Christmas and the Fourth of July. He never met a stranger, he loved to eat good country cooking, and he loved his family.

Pete was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Lawrence, three sisters; Frances Rieke, Virginia Stuchell and Ruby Bjoralt.

He is lovingly survived by his wife, Lois of the home; three children, Janice Wilson and husband Boyd Lee of Montgomery, Alabama, Charles Presley Reynolds of Austin Texas and Betsy Reynolds of Ada , Oklahoma; one brother, Earl Reynolds and wife Nan of Blair, Oklahoma; two sisters, Eva Mae Bryan of Napa, California and Rebecca York and husband Jim of Altus, Oklahoma; two grandsons, Boyd Lance Wilson of Birmingham, Alabama and Landon Wilson of Birmingham, Alabama along with a host of nieces and nephews who dearly loved him.
