R. D. Futrell age 72, of Altus, Oklahoma died June 18, 1967 at the Hobart, Hospital in Hobart, Oklahoma. He was born January 27, 1895 in Ennis Texas to N. Futrell and Ella (Cook) Futrell.
He married Etta Beatly January 1, 1921 in Wellington, Texas. He was a veteran of World War I and member of the American Legion. He had been a resident of southwest Oklahoma since 1922.
Funeral services for R. D. Futrell are scheduled for 10:00 am Thursday, June 20, 1967 in Tims Chapel, Altus, officiated by Rev. Don English. Burial will follow in the Restlawn Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
R. D. Futrell is survived by his wife, Etta, of the home in Altus; three sons, R. D. Futrell Jr. of Ketchidan, Alaska; Jack Futrell, Hobart, Oklahoma; Max Futrell, Lawton, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, four sisters, Essie Lowe, Los Angles, California; Ethel Ketchem, Los Angles, California; Mrs. Ray Kimbel, Los Angeles, California; Kate Scott, San Francisco, California.
