Obituary for Ralph Lee Goodin
Ralph Lee Goodin was born January 10th, 1948 in Roosevelt, Oklahoma to Robert Lee and Ethel (Meekins) Goodin. He went to meet his Lord on November 28th, 2014, at the age of 66 after a short battle with cancer.
He graduated from Roosevelt High School and continued his education at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, Oklahoma, graduating in 1971. On May 28,1977 Ralph married the love of his life Linda Harris in Hobart, Oklahoma. They spent 37 wonderful years together and made Altus their home. Ralph worked for cattle ranchers John & Paul Mock, Joe Schell and Don Kizziar as an accountant for Cattle Management Systems many years until his death.
When Ralph wasn't busy at work he enjoyed spending time with his family including his grandchildren, Grace and Andrew. Ralph was a proud and loyal Sooner fan where he held season tickets for over 30 years. He was a long time member of the First Baptist Church in Altus.
Preceded in death by his parents, one brother Thomas Alton Goodin, and two nephews Kenny and Denny Jackson. Ralph is survived by his wife Linda of the home in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, two sons Michael and wife Niki Goodin of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Kelly Goodin of Moore, Oklahoma, two grandchildren Grace Elizabeth and Andrew Robert Goodin of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, two sisters Norine Jackson and husband W.A. (Willie) Jackson of Roosevelt, Oklahoma and Dr. Linda Orr Hash and husband Dr. Jack Hash of Ft. Worth, Texas, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many wonderful friends.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 1, 2014 at First Baptist Church in Altus with Dr. Jeff Moore and Rev. Alvin Funkhauser officiating. Interment followed in the Roosevelt Cemetery at Roosevelt, Oklahoma under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home of Altus.
