Obituary for Rex Russel Paugh
Rex Russel Paugh, age 70, of Altus, Oklahoma, passed away Monday, August 3rd, 1998 at Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma . He was born August 6th, 1927 at Hebron, Nebraska to the late Roy and Charlott (Cloyd) Paugh.
On May 31, 1953 in Iselin, New Jersey, Rex and Mary Calvert were united in marriage. He entered the United States Air Force in 1945, retired in 1966 as a Master Sergeant. Rex had lived in Altus since 1961. He owned and operated many businesses in Altus.
Rex had several hobbies he enjoyed including Antique cars and golf. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Rex was a 32nd Degree Mason of the Masonic Lodge in Altus.
Funeral Service is scheduled for Saturday, August 8, 1998 at 10:00 a.m. in the Lowell Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Norm Prosser officiating. Burial will follow in the Altus City Cemetery with Masonic Rites. Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
Survivors include: his wife Mary of the home in Altus; three children, Wes Paugh and wife Susan of Duncan, OK, Kevin (K.D.) Paugh and wife Carolyn of Sturgis, SD and Gary Paugh of Altus, OK; two brothers, Jack Paugh of Chester, NE and Dick Paugh and wife Peggy of Hallam, NE; one sister, Myrna Nunn of Hebron, NE; five grandchildren, Kevin Paugh, Jr., Leon Paugh, Tara Paugh, Bo Paugh and Daniel Paugh.
He is preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Maxine Nunn.
