Reyes P. Aguilar, age 76 of Mangum and formerly of Frederick, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, October 3, 2014 at Comanche County Memorial Hospital in Lawton.
Reyes was born in Elgin, Texas on April 18, 1938. Reyes enjoyed watching TV, eating chicken, and she loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents; her husband Demetrio Aguilar after many years of marriage until his death in 1990; two infant sons; two daughters, Mary Castillo; Rachael Aguilar; three brothers, Lupe Garcia; Geronimo Garcia; Donicio Garcia; one sister, Thomasa Casta"on; and three grandchildren; Reyes is survived by four sons, Demetrio Aguilar, Jr. of Texas; Lorenzo Aguilar and wife Hope of Frederick; Ray Aguilar of Mangum; Joe Adam Aguilar of McAlester; five daughters, Raynelda Casta"eda and husband Javier of Frederick; Corine Cerda and husband Eliceo of Iowa; Pauline Garcia of Mangum; Anita Barrett and husband Raymond Bernal of Mangum; Eva Espinosa and husband Willie of Frederick; her twin brother, Merjildo Pe"a and her brother, Frank Garcia both of Texas; one sister, Avelina G. Torres of Texas; thirty five grandchildren, Crystal, Lorenzo Patrick, Alexander, Adam, Reyes, Andrea, Juan, Demetrio, Gabriel, Little Joe, Madison, Mason, Manuel, Javier, Delores, Victoria, Jimmy, Vincent, Robert, Eliceo, Jr., Isaac, Maryann, Rachel, Salvador, Maricela, Leslie, Priscilla, Ruben, Juan "JD", Erica, Lionel, David, Angel, Luis, and Rosemary; forty three great grandchildren and numerous great great grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Viewing Hours will be from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Saturday, October 4, 2014 and Sunday, October 5, 2014 from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Greer Funeral Home in Mangum, Oklahoma.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Monday, October 6, 2014 at the New Beginnings Church with Pastor Steve Collins officiating. Interment will follow at 1:30 pm at the Frederick Memorial Cemetery in Frederick under the direction of Greer Funeral Home, Mangum.
