Reyes "Ray" Molina, Jr., age 69, of Chickasha and formerly of Altus, passed away early Monday morning, June 13, 2016 at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City.
Ray was born in Pleasanton, Texas on January 31, 1947 to his parents Reyes Soto Molina, Sr. and Elvira (Soto) Molina. He moved to Altus when he was sixteen years old and spend the next 53 years working in farming, hospitals, and nursing homes, before moving to Chickasha. Ray was married to Julie Molina for over 40 years and was a member of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Altus. He enjoyed walking and drinking coffee every morning at McDonalds, going to the casino and playing Spanish Bingo. Ray always enjoyed being around his family and spending time with his brothers and sisters and especially his grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Angela Kay (Molina) Baker; two brothers, Adolph and Felix Molina; two sisters, Avelia Gonzales and Angie Soliz; and one granddaughter, Megan Michelle Lawrimore; Ray is survived by his three children, Cleo Ray Hayes and wife Maria of Lawton; Teresa Lynn Molina Perry and husband Richard of Mangum; and Jennifer Desirey Molina and husband Dusty of Chickasha; two brothers, Jessie Molina and wife Simona; and John Molina and wife Irma both of Altus; three sisters, Lenora Grego and husband Domingo; Irene Dominguez and husband Juan; and Delfina Maldanado and husband Luis all of Altus; six grandchildren, Michael Hayes; Arron Hayes and wife Risa; Roy Lawrimore, Jr. and wife Lisa; Briana Lawrimore and husband Raymond, and Brittany Lawrimore; five great grandchildren, Sophia, Megan-Ann, Stephen, Aubrey, and Hayden Parker Hayes; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, other family members and friends.
Rosary services will be at 6:00 pm, Thursday, June 16, 2016 at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Altus with the Funeral Mass following on Friday, June 17, 2016 at 10:00 am at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church with Father Cory Stanley officiating. Catholic burial rites will follow at Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home and Crematory.
