Ricardo "Ricky" Ybarra age, 59, of Altus, passed away Thursday afternoon, March 19, 2015, at his residence, in Altus.
Ricky was born in Munday, Texas on April 4, 1955, to Antonio Steven and Guadeloupe (Sanchez) Ybarra. Moving to Altus as a small child, Ricky attended Wilson Elementary, Central Junior High and Altus High School. On December 16, 1972, he married Mollie Aguilar and they spent the next forty-two wonderful years together before his untimely death. Learning the trade of carpentry at a young age, Ricky began a dry wall business early on in life that continued until 2010, when his health began to fail. In his spare time, Ricky enjoyed street stock racing, playing music, dancing, playing pool, darts and bowling, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, he is survived by his wife, Mollie of the home; six children, Donny Ybarra of Houston, Tonya Ybarra of Altus, Ricky Ybarra, Jr., of Altus, Sonya Gallardo and husband Nathan of Altus, Eric Ybarra of Altus and Edward Ybarra of Altus; fourteen grandchildren; one great grandson; one sister, Gloria Nieto and husband Joe of Altus; two brothers, Tony Ybarra and wife Susie of Mangum; Bobby Ybarra and wife Donna of Burkburnett, Texas along with many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Ricky Ybarra will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 21, 2015, at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Lloyd Lopez officiating. Cremation services will follow, conducted by Lowell-Tims Funeral Home and Crematory.
