Obituary for Richard "Little Rich" Richey" Estraca
Richard Roel Estraca, 23-year-old OU student of Altus, Oklahoma, passed away Saturday, November 9, 2019 in Norman, Oklahoma.
Richard was born in Altus, Oklahoma on February 24, 1996 to his parents Frank Richard Estraca and Abby Gail Rodriguez Gloria. Richard was a proud graduate of the class of 2014 from Altus High School. He went on to earn his associate's degree at Western Oklahoma State College in Altus with studies in behavioral science where he graduated summa cum laude with a 4.0 GPA. He was also a member of the honor society with straight A's. Richard worked at the Braums in Altus for his first job. He lived in College Station, Texas where he worked in telecommunications and moved back to Altus and worked at Bar-S. Most recently, Richard was a college student at the University of Oklahoma in Norman where he would graduate with his bachelor's degree in psychology class of 2019. He was a member of the phi theta kapa fraternity. Growing up Richard enjoyed playing baseball and video games, he liked music and attending concerts and his passion was art and he was extremely talented with drawing and painting.
Richard was a wonderful kid and his family was blessed with his love and talent. He was so smart and always made straight A's. He had a good head on his shoulders and strived to further himself with his education. He loved meeting new people and he had such wonderful friends and all his teachers loved him so much that they kept him motivated to succeed in life. He wanted to be someone special in life, he wanted to be able to help people as a counselor or psychiatrist. Richard’s greatest joy in life was spending time with friends and family and he loved spending time with his brothers and sisters and taking them to the park. God took Richard from us too soon and he will be so greatly missed.
Richard is preceded in death by his great-great-great grandmother, Eloisa Perez; great-great grandparents, Robert and Beatrice Estraca; Rafael and Eva Vela; and Alejandro and Amalia Luna; great grandmother, Victoria Rodriguez; great grandfather, Adam Rodriguez; grandfather, Edward Gloria, Sr.; great uncle, Freddy Maldonado; and his aunt, Maria Lupe Gloria.
Richard is survived by his great-great grandparents, Robert and Nettie Estraca; and Frank and Juanita Espinoza; grandparents, Roel Estraca; grandma, Mary Ann Mendoza; and grandma, Estella Gloria Rodriguez; his father, Frank Richard Estraca; his mother, Abby Gail Rodriguez Gloria; four brothers, Gabriel Estraca; Frank Anthony Estraca; Aaron Estraca; and Adrian Ezekial Estraca; three sisters, Gabriella Ann Estraca; Racquell Destinee Estraca; and Mercedes Estraca; his aunts and uncles, Edward and Rosa Gloria; Jessie and Beatrice Gloria; Sandra and Robert Estraca; Susie and Manuel Soloman; Dominga Gloria; Monica and David Benivamonde; R.J. Estraca; Jessica Maldonaldo; and Cody Maldonaldo; his nephew, Kayden Alexander Estraca; his cousins, Tori Benivamonde; D.J. Benivamonde; Troy Estraca; Alicia and Shawn Conroy; Jonathan and Jasmine Gloria; Antonio and Dariana Monsivais; Jonathan Martinez; J.S. The family will greet friends at visitation from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Monday evening, November 18, 2019 at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home in Altus, Oklahoma.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel in Altus, Oklahoma.
Interment will follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home and Crematory, Altus.
