Obituary for Robert "Bob" Hurst
Memorial Services for Robert "Bob" Hurst will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 8th at Lowell -Tims Chapel. Bob passed away on November 3, 2019 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital.
Bob was born August 31, 1951 in Miami, Florida to Robert Hurst, Sr. and Judy Campbell. He served in the Army from 1969 to 1972 and spent most of his time in Vietnam. He was a Vietnam veteran and received the Purple Heart and The Air Medal. He enjoyed watching Nascar Racing and football.
He married Janis Brooks on May 28, 1995 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert Hurst Sr. and Judy Campbell.
Robert is Survived by his wife Janis, one sister; Sandi Gilbertson and husband Larry, of Altus, three children; Craig Brooks and wife Kimberly of Burkburnett, Texas, Dianna Roberts and husband Andy, of Columbus, Georgia and Justin Hurst of Grand Ridge, Florida, eight grandchildren; Hunter, Caitlin and Reece Brooks, Andrew Roberts and Jay Aaron, Lillie and Matthew Hurst and one nephew; Greg Gilbertson, of Lamar, Missouri, great nephews; Dylan and Cody Gilbertson. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to INTEGRIS Nazih Zuhdi Transplant Institute, American Transplant Foundation, or American Foundation for Donations and Transplants.
A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 8, 2019 at Lowell - Tims Funeral Home Chapel, Altus, Oklahoma.
