Obituary for Robert George Henson
Robert George Henson, 72, passed away Saturday, April 29, 1995, in the Park Lane Manor after a lengthy illness. Robert was born May 10, 1922, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, the son of Robert G. and Lula Mae "Whetzel" Henson. Mr. Henson was veteran of World War 11, having served in the United States Navy. He was a longtime resident of Southwest Oklahoma, having to the Altus area in 1948.
In August of 1948, he and Jackie Holcomb were united in marriage. He owned and operated the Henson Roofing and insulation Company for many years and later operated Bob's Junk shop. He was a member of the American Legion and an life member of the Veteran's of Foreign Wars.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Richard and Buster Henson; and one sister, Viola Williams.
He is survived by Jackie, his wife of 47 years; two sons and two daughter-in-laws, Robert Geroge and Teri Henson of Edmond, Oklahoma; and James and Misty Henson of Mangum, Oklahoma; three daughters and son-in-laws, Jackie Ruth and Bill Wentz of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; Barbara and Bob Lane of Bella Vista, Ar.; three brothers, Archie Henson of Chico, Texas; Gene Henson of Arizona, and Elmer Henson of Mt. Park, Oklahoma; as well as six grandchildren and many loving friends.
