Obituary for Robert Patrick Moore
Robert Patrick Moore, former resident of Altus, Oklahoma passed away December 14, 2023, at the Va Hospital in Clinton, Oklahoma at the age of seventy-nine.
On October 21, 1944, in Kingman, Arizona Eugene Moore and Lillian Beatrice Hope Moore rejoiced at the birth of their only son Robert Patrick Moore whom was always know as Bob. Bob was raised and educated in the greater Los Angeles, California area. Where he attended and graduated high school. Filling a need to better serve his country Bob joined the United States Air Force. He proudly served his country form August of 1969 to May 1972. Following his honorable discharge from the military Bob attended Cameron University where he received his bachelor's degree. Bob continued his service to the his country by devoting himself professionally to civil service. He worked at Altus Air Force for over twenty years in base contracting. Bob was a connoisseur of science fiction, he loved books, television shows, and movies. He was always getting lost in the imaginative worlds encompassed in these books, movies, and shows. Bob was married to Alice for almost thirty years before their amicable divorce and even though the marriage ended their friendship didn't stop. Bob helped raise Alice's two children, Christoper Roland and Chasity Roland. Bob leaves a legacy, of love of science, family, and for his country.
Bob was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Moore; Mother, Lillian Beatrice (Hope) Moore, a sister Denice Moore and a niece.
Left to honor the legacy of Bob is his ex-wife and friend, Alice Stephens, stepson, Chris Roland, step-daughter, Chasity Roland; grandchildren, Skyler Roland, and Jackson Roseland.
Funeral services have been set for 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 22, 2023, at Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, Oklahoma where Bob will be honored with Military honors from the Shepard Honor Guard.
Funeral services have been entrusted to Lowell - Tims Funeral Home and Crematory, Altus, Oklahoma.
