Rosa Pearl Sanders Hamilton passed away Friday, January 17th at the age of 97. She was born August 17th, in1912 in Tillman County Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her husband James Marshall Hamilton and their son James Marshall "Jimmy" Hamilton II. Rosa attended and graduated from Martha High School.

Rosa worked several years for the Shadid family at the Powder Puff Fashion Shop in Altus. Soon after the shop was closed she moved to Dallas to live with and care for her sister Opal and to be near her son Jimmy.

After her son"s death, she moved to "The Gardens of Richardson" rest home in Richardson, Texas where she died.

Rosa was a member of the First Baptist Church, Altus, Oklahoma. She was a member of the Business and Professional Womens Club.

She is survived by a daughter-in-law Lidia Hamilton Sandron, her two sons, Samual and Marco Patterson, Marco"s wife Misty and their three children, Mason, Mia and Maddison of Dallas and a sister-in-law Helen Hamilton Green of Abilene, Tx, and nieces and nephews Don and Jo Beth Turner of Lubbock, Tx., Joye and George Black of Altus, Ok., Ronald and Pam Heckenkamp of Oklahoma City, Robert and Beverly Heckenkamp of Allen, Tx., Cheryl and Stan Clark of Edmond Ok. And many great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at Lowell-Tims Chapel in Altus on Friday, January 22nd at 2pm. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband Marshall and heir son Jimmy in Restlawn Cemetery in Altus.
