Obituary for Ross LeConte Lingle
Ross Lingle was born February 26th, 1922 at Lancaster, South Carolina. He died October 15th, 2002 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. He married Clariece Tabb January of 1946, in Altus, Oklahoma. Ross graduated from Blair High School. He was a member of the Baptist Church, former Jaycee, Supervisor of Fairmont Foods for 18 years, and a nationally known Square Dance caller and instructor. He was a Greyhound Breeder and a National Greyhound Committee man for 15 years.
Survivors include his wife, Clariece Lingle of Altus, Oklahoma; three sons, David Lingle and his wife Billie of Marble Falls, Texas, John Lingle and wife Leslie of Altus, Oklahoma and Joey Lingle of Altus, Oklahoma; one sister, Marian Blackwell; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services for Ross Lingle are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 17, 2002 at the Lowell Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Sonny Tims officiating. Interment will follow at the Blair Cemetery.
The family will greet friends on Wednesday, October 16, 2002 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
