Roy Edward Green, age 54, of Granite, passed away Monday afternoon, March 16, 2015, at Select Specialty Hospital, in Oklahoma City.
Roy was born in Hobart, Oklahoma on May 25, 1960, to Walter Edward Green, Sr. and Wynona (Davis) Green. After attending Granite School, Roy began roofing at the age of 15 and continued working for Locklear Roofing for the next 39 years. On May 21, 1980, Roy married the love of his life, Gina Ellen Litton and they spent the next thirty-four wonderful years together before his death. In November, 2014, Roy began working for District 2, in Greer County, as an equipment operator and continued working there until his untimely death. In his spare time, Roy enjoyed fishing, camping, "storage wars", playing the guitar and spending time with his family and friends.
Preceded in death by his father, Roy is survived by his wife, Gina Green, of the home; two children, David Green of Granite and Heather Green of the home; his mother, Wynona Green, of Granite; two grandchildren, Logan Green and Branson Green; two sisters, Linda Keister and husband Robert of Granite and Emma Smith and husband Smitty of Altus; two brothers, Carrol Green and wife Sheila of Granite and Walter Green, Jr. of Hobart; two sisters-in-law, Renate Dorsey and husband David of Granite, Patti Esparza and husband Steven of Clinton; one brother-in-law Clayton Litton and wife Bettie of Justin, Texas along with many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Roy Green will be at 2 p.m., Friday, March 20, 2015, at the Granite First Assembly of God with Pastor Tim McGough officiating. Interment will follow at Granite City Cemetery under the direction of Greer Funeral Home of Granite.
