Obituary for Roy Richmond
Roy Richmond, 48, passed away Sunday, October 22, 1995, in the Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Roy was born January 8, 1947, in Purcell, Oklahoma, the son of Cassie Harris and the late Levi Richmond. He moved to the Altus area at a very young age.
Mr. Richmond served in the United States Army from 1969 until 1974. He also served with the Army Reserves from 1969 until 1974. He also served with the Army reserves and the Oklahoma and Kansas National guard. Roy had been employed as a salesman for the This and That Shop in Altus.
Roy was preceded in death by his father, Levi Richmond; one brother, Clyde Morgan; and by one sister, Tracy Harris Plair.
He is survived by hid mother, Cassie Harris of Altus; one daughter, Rosalind West of Chickasha, Oklahoma; four brothers, Vernon Harris, Dan Harris, A.H. Harris, and Billy Lee Harris all of Wichita, Kansas; six sisters, Cassie Graham of St. Louis, Mo., Virginia Harris Washington of Louisianna, Vera Pritchett of Burmingham, Al., Pansy Lenard, Daisy Flemmons, and Winoma Owens all of Atlus; and three grandchildren, Taisha West, Danzel West, and Taylor West.
