Ruth Fowler Hensley was born on February 19th, 1902 in Altus, Oklahoma. She died on June 25th, 1990 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus, OK. She was the daughter of Dr. J.E. and Mattie Ann Wright Hensley. She married Virgil R. Hensley in 1923 at Altus, OK and preceded her in death on 12 April 1978. She had lived in Jackson County her whole life. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include: one son, Bob Hensley of Talequah, TX; two grandchildren, Robert V. Hensley III of Tulsa, OK and Paula Burright of Ft. Gibson; five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: one grandchild, Cindy Johnson.
