Obituary for Ruth Mabel Owens
Mrs. Ruth Owens, age 77, of 426 W. Broadway, Altus, died Thursday at Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Pauls Valley, OK.
Funeral services have been set for 10:30 A.M., Saturday at the Eldorado Church of Christ, officiated by Doyle Bloomer. Burial will be in Eldorado Cemetery under direction of Lowell Funeral Home.
Born August 7th, 1898 at Cleburne, Texas, she was the former Ruth Wood, was married May 28, 1922 to the late Aubrey Owens in Eldorado. Mr. Owens died in 1968. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include: two sons, Gene Owens, of Paul's Valley and Raymon Owens of Independence, KS; three brothers, Carl Wood of Hollis, Ray Wood of Wichita Falls, TX and Willis Wood of Eldorado; four sisters, Virgie Richardson of Eldorado, Ethel Knight of Frederick, Clara Mitchell of Altus and Ollie Berry of Altus; four grandchildren.
Mrs. Owens will lie in state at Lowell-Richardson Memorial Chapel in Eldorado.
